Description
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 1:30am - 9:30am
Oversees sort operations and a unionized team, ensuring performance standards are met. Builds a positive work environment, drives operational objectives, manages employee performance through coaching and recognition, and implements policies, procedures, and programs while maintaining required reports and documentation.
-Manage and supervise daily sort operations
-Lead and support a team of unionized employees
-Foster a positive work environment that builds loyalty and teamwork
-Achieve operational objectives as outlined in the scorecard
-Monitor and manage employee performance against established standards
-Enhance operations through performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition
-Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs
-Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and related records
-Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
-2–3 years of experience managing or supervising employees
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of Excel
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Experience supervising union employees (asset)
-Logistics experience (asset)
-Strong leadership and motivational skills; energetic leader
-Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Skilled at coordinating diverse duties and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
-Consistently presents a professional and positive image
