Position Overview
The Plant Operator will operate and assist in maintenance of plants at our aggregate quarry in Pittston, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
-Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc.).
-Start crushing, screening, conveying and all related equipment.
-Daily safety check of the plant.
-Ensure proper size and quality of the product.
-Maximize production of the product.
-Fill in as needed at any position in the quarry and asphalt operation.
-Communicate maintenance needs on a daily basis; turn in maintenance requests daily - fill out work orders for maintenance required.
-Keep plant area neat and organized.
-Check oil levels and grease all equipment on the plant as required. Complete daily and weekly checklists.
-Verify all equipment is functioning properly.
-Maintain crusher settings.
-Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
-Current driver’s license.
-Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours.
Education/Experience
-High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Previous experience perferred.
-Computer experience helpful
