Tullow is offering an exciting opportunity within the Operations Team. The position is for a Maintenance & Integrity Planner, which is a Full-Time Permanent position based in Accra, Ghana, with a hybrid working arrangements.
Job Purpose
This role is ideally suited for a senior-level mechanical technician with extensive hands-on experience in oil and gas maintenance, who is looking to transition into a planning role. The successful candidate will use their technical craft knowledge to develop comprehensive Work Order Job Plans that support maintenance and integrity activities on the FPSO. The Planner ensures that all tasks are defined, resourced, and ready for safe and efficient execution in full compliance with company standards and statutory regulations.
Key roles and responsibilities of successful candidate
• Translate frontline mechanical maintenance experience into well-prepared job plans that clearly define scope, execution method, sequence, required tools, permits, and resources.
• Develop standardized job plans for repetitive maintenance tasks, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with the TGL Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Update and improve CMMS job plans based on feedback and lessons learned from completed work.
• Monitor maintenance performance versus plan and capture improvement opportunities.
• Support development of the 28-day maintenance schedule by confirming work readiness (scope, materials, resources).
• Ensure materials are identified, procured, and staged in advance of planned work, coordinating with Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Communicate planning risks effectively to the Onshore Maintenance Superintendent and other stakeholders.
• Uphold Tullow’s HSEQ Code of Conduct and promote a strong safety culture.
Experience & Qualification
• 7+ years’ experience in offshore Oil & Gas mechanical maintenance, with significant “on-tools” experience at the front line.
• Strong craft knowledge and ability to translate field experience into detailed work plans (tasks, labor hours, materials, tools).
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in maintenance execution.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) and basic planning principles; prior exposure to scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera) is desirable but not essential.
• Ideally, experience with FPSO tanker operations and maintenance activities.
• Bachelor’s degree or tertiary equivalent in Engineering/Technical discipline is preferred, but extensive relevant maintenance experience will be strongly considered.
