About the Client:
The client is a world-class research and development centre in semiconductor and nanotechnology, driving innovation in automotive and industrial applications. They are leading projects to accelerate the industrialisation of advanced chiplet-based ASIC solutions for smarter, safer, and more efficient vehicles.
The Opportunity:
The client is seeking an ASIC Project Manager to join their Advanced Chip Design Accelerator (ACDA) team. The successful candidate will manage major ASIC product development projects, overseeing New Product Introduction, project planning, and coordination across multiple service domains, from design to manufacturing, assembly, and testing. They will also act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
-Define, plan, and oversee work packages for all project stages, ensuring budget, quality, and deliverables are met.
-Manage full project execution across design, manufacturing, substrate, assembly, and test domains.
-Coordinate design and tape-out activities with engineers.
-Define assembly packages and test solutions in collaboration with assembly and test engineers.
-Set up electrical and radiation ASIC test solutions with external test houses when required.
-Manage production release for volume production.
-Propose cost improvement initiatives, such as yield optimisation, multi-site testing, and packaging options.
-Track project budgets and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and standards.
Candidate Profile:
-Master’s degree in Electronics or related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience in ASIC development.
-Knowledge of ASIC qualification flows according to standards such as MIL-STD, automotive, or space; experience with automotive or medical qualification flows is an asset.
-Proven experience in project-based work and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
-Proactive, customer-focused, and able to take initiative in a collaborative environment.
-Strong command of English.
-Willingness to travel regularly (approximately one week per month) to subcontractor sites.
