Timken Power Systems, Philadelphia Gear brand, is seeking an Operations Manager based out of Mokena, IL regional service center. The purpose of the Operations Manager position is to manage operative employees, ensure orders are executed properly and efficiently, implement continuous improvement, and the achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the site. The Operations Manager is also expected to develop and lead operatives through strong leadership skills with a quality- and safety -oriented managerial style.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Create a safe working environment and ensure all safety practices and procedures are followed.
-Maintain schedule, assign work to employees to maximize productivity and meet scheduling requirements; manage time off/machine downtime for direct reports.
-Oversee the processes associated with performing high-quality, on-time inspection and repair services.
-Ensure all required tooling, materials and/or resources are available to meet work requirements.
-Ensure work is completed according to Standard Operating Procedures, on time and in cost effective manner to meet KPIs.
-Monitor execution of scheduled work to ensure deadlines are met or if not notify required parties.
-Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted with job travelers and that labor is properly recorded.
-Lead and develop strategies to manage the reduction of costs, improve labor productivity, improve machine efficiency, and elimination of waste.
-Oversee daily performance output against standards throughout the plant.
-Manage the daily relationship/interactions with leadership.

Basic Q
ualifications:
-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Management is required.
-10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Assembly & Production Operations is required.
-Bachelor's degree is required.
