Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble, wire, and modify equipment as defined by assembly drawings to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

• Read and follow blueprints and schematics to assemble equipment

• Utilize basic hand tools to complete assembly of equipment

• Complete wiring on machine to ensure proper operation

• Meet or exceed timelines to ensure on-time delivery to customer

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Ability to install and wire electrical control panels

• Ability to build the more complex machines that Sealed Air produces (ex. Autoloaders, 8600’s, and verticals)

• Ability to read and understand ladder diagrams

• Ability to work with engineering to correct problems and develop new designs

• Work without direct supervision

• Ability to trouble shoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

• Basic knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)

• Examples of Assembly Craftsperson 3 work includes: ability to work on any all machines (horizontal and vertical), set up systems for testing purposes, work in lab environments for engineers, and multitask on multiple projects

• High school diploma or GED required

• Associate degree preferred
