As the Customer Experience and Service Planning Inter n, you will:
Assist Customer Experience Planners, Service Planners and Senior Service Planners. Participate as a team member to perform market analyses and help address service issues, alignments, and levels. Assist with evaluating the effectiveness of existing services in meeting the expectations of customers. Locate and quantifies viable transit travel markets and amenity levels using industry accepted analytical methods. Assist with analyzing new transit-operating scenarios and identifies where improvements may be made for associated procedures. Assist with analyzing viable transit travel markets and amenity levels and ensures service plans are designed to meet customers' needs and encourage ridership. Assist in Administering the Bus Stop Improvement Plan for UTA's Service area.
This internship is a part time internship and will not exceed 29 hours per week, expected to last 6 months but may be extended up to a year.

This is an in-person position that cannot be conducted remotely. If you do not live in the Salt Lake City or surrounding area, this position would require you to relocate for the full duration of the internship.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/LICENSE:
No experience required. At least a Junior or Senior level student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, seeking undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Business, Math, or closely related field is required. Must submit a transcript of grades and two letters of recommendation. Must have a valid Utah driver's license. Must be a safe driver with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 2 violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Customer Comment Module preferred. Knowledge of transit operations planning preferred Quantitative analysis skills, Detail-oriented, Verbal, and written communication skills Beginning Trapeze Reports transit scheduling software preferred Ability to work independently or as a team.
