About the Role
As our Asphalt Plant Ground person, you will work hands-on in a dynamic environment, ensuring our plant runs efficiently and safely. You will be trained to operate various types of equipment, perform maintenance, and assist in production. Whether you're cleaning up the site, supporting the crew, or learning to operate loaders and bobcats, you'll be at the heart of our operations.
Key Responsibilities

-Follow instructions from the Foreperson or Supervisor to complete daily tasks
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Shovel and rake materials regularly; assist truck drivers with loading and dumping
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Operate diverse equipment, including power brooms, plate compactors, wheelbarrows, pipe saws, pumps, generators, jack hammers, and vibratory rollers
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Support maintenance and repair of plant equipment
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on all equipment
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Help clean and maintain areas in and around the plant and quarry
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Operate bobcat and loader to move and stockpile materials as needed
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Always maintain a clean and safe work environment
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Adhere to all state and federal safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, MSHA, and others)
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Take on other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Physical Requirements

-Available for long hours when needed
