Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Southampton

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP38,000

A forward-thinking, design-led architectural practice is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technician to join its growing Southampton studio. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects, the practice works closely with leading UK house builders to create innovative, design-driven housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate, detailed technical drawings for large-scale residential projects
* Collaborate with architects, consultants, engineers and clients to achieve design and regulatory objectives
* Ensure all technical outputs comply with Building Regulations and NHBC requirements
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, supporting their development
* Contribute to project and client meetings, offering professional input on technical matters

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Degree, HNC or HND in Architectural Technology (or equivalent qualification)
* Several years' experience delivering large residential developments for national house builders
* Strong technical skills with excellent precision and attention to detail
* Proficiency in CAD and/or BIM software packages
* In-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standards
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
* A collaborative, team-focused mindset and excellent communication skills
