Description:
We are seeking an experienced Department Supervisor with 3-5 years of leadership experience to oversee day-to-day operations of a department. This role is responsible for managing a crew of 10+ skilled workers, ensuring production is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The Department Supervisor will coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments to solve problems and manage team members ensuring production goals are met and quality targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of 10+ workers across multiple trades. Plan daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to meet production targets. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards. Review plans and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew. Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and customer expectations. Serve as the first point of contact for resolving issues, conflicts, or delays. Collaborate with engineers, purchasing, and sales to coordinate workflow. Train, coach, and mentor crew members to build skills and maintain high performance. Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports. Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams of 10+ workers. Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to enforce safety and quality standards consistently. Proficient with basic computer applications (email, MS Office, scheduling software preferred). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
Capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing hands-on tasks when necessary.
