An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Application Support Consultant working on the CareDirector application in the Application Support team in IT at Hampshire County Council.

Hampshire County Council is a modern business, delivering a vast range of services that make a real difference to the lives of residents, as well as social care and education. These include transport, planning, waste recycling, libraries and trading standards.

Joining the Application Support Team, as an Application Support Consultant on the CareDirector application you will be focusing on supporting Adult's Social Care processes and recording.

The Role:

CareDirector is a cloud hosted Social Care application. You will be working in a dynamic environment, configuring the application in the User Interface to meet business demands and changes in processes including building Forms, Workflow and Dashboards.

What you’ll do:
-Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the CareDirector application
-Supporting and systems administration and configuration of Hampshire County Council’s Adults Social Care application, CareDirector
-Business analysis, requirements gathering, consultancy and design of CareDirector developments and integrations
-IT testing, including test script production, unit and system testing and co-ordination of customer user acceptance testing
-Working with external suppliers to log support cases, explain issues and plan system maintenance and software upgrade
-Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
-Writing and reviewing procedures and project and technical documentation
-Acting as 3rd Level support to resolve Incidents and complete Service Requests

What we’re looking for:
-Experience of configuring applications in a User Interface to meet business demands
-Experience of IT applications used in Social Care, including CareDirector or Mosaic
-Experience of providing 3rd level application support
-Experience of supporting cloud-hosted applications
-Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Strong team focus, working collaboratively with colleagues through mentoring and training
-Experience of delivering and co-ordinating IT solutions, understanding of business analysis and requirements gathering
-Strong focus on providing and improving customer satisfaction
-Experience of writing and following test scripts for unit, systems, regression, integration and end-to-end testing
-Effective communication skills at all levels including oral, written, presentation and briefing others
-Flexibility to work effectively across different areas of IT including user support, IT administration, analysis, design, development and testing
-Experience of promoting data accuracy and IT security

This role will be based at our Winchester offices, however as part of Hampshire County Council’s Open Workplace Policy, the successful candidate can undertake their work between home and the office (a hybrid approach) depending upon operational requirements.

We are currently required to work in the office 1 day a week, this is currently on a Thursday for this team. Working in the office on other days may be required and this is subject to change.
