Description

Participate in demand planning duties, including optimizing future product demand forecasts. Optimize Sales planning to serve consumers, drive profitable growth, and deliver revenue targets. 

The Demand Planner will be responsible for KPI performance.

Job Responsibilities
-Demonstrate knowledge and experience working with an integrated business planning tool (i.e. Manu/JDA/BY, SAP APO/IBP, Logility, Oracle, o9, LLamasoft)
-Own all aspects of demand planning for the assigned value stream supporting revenue and growth velocity, and high complexity (new locations, new businesses, incremental strategies)
-Key support in Blue Yonder to help with development, new processes and training needed within the tool.
-Collaborate with Sales Leads and Product Marketing to develop strategic near term and long term plans by account and category and provide direction to the TBC organization.

Additional Job Responsibilities
-Achieve consensus for demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with Sales Leads, Finance, and other key stakeholders
-Help monitor and analyze trends and market changes to build, monitor and update SKU level forecasts.
-Focus on exceeding key KPIs, including forecast accuracy, customer fill rates, order request dates, inventory plans and more.
-Prepare for and participate in cross functional meetings to present sales analysis, forecast changes and 

recommended actions, also to ensure key strategies are being executed.

Continued Responsibilities
-Analyze customer data, including relevant market-related data, Point of Sales data, sell-through targets, margin goals, competitive intelligence, and other key metrics to maximize sales and profitability.
-Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
-Participate or facilitate demand planning customer meetings where applicable.
-Maintain demand plans and strategy in Blue Yonder (Demand Planning Software)

Added Responsibilities
-Monitor short-term and long-term trends in forecast error and adjust future forecasts.
-Analyze and manage risk assessments and mitigation activities.
-Propose and implements solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
-Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain required.  Masters preferred.
-APICS or equivalent Supply Chain certification preferred.
-5+ years demand forecasting or relevant experience with consensus forecasting
-Advanced analytical skills - ability to brainstorm, gather data, detect outliers or trends, interpret data, and make decisions based on multiple different data points.
-Proven track record of effectively collaborating with other supply chain functions, and company stakeholders including sales, purchasing, pricing, marketing, inventory, transportation, warehousing and finance.
-Experienced forecasting skills – utilize multiple different forecasting metrics (% bias, turns, %ABS, etc) to determine a strategic and accurate forecast.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office with high-level capabilities in Excel
-Experience with ERP/MRP software systems, SAP knowledge is desired.
-Experience with Demand Planning software systems, JDA Blue Yonder knowledge is desired.
-Strong business acumen and understanding of inventory policies, P&L’s and operating performance metrics.
-Positive, solution-focused attitude with a team-oriented growth mindset
-Focus on continuous improvement.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills including influencing skills.
-Solid knowledge of advanced mathematical, statistical, and forecasting policies is required.
