. Faculty/Division: University of Toronto Mississauga. Session: FALL 2025 (F). Department: Institute of Communication, Culture, Information & Technology.

The ICCIT invites applications from qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students. Appointment dates: September 1 to December 31, 2025 for ‘F’ courses.

Qualifications (unless specified): Must have completed formal education/experience specific to the subject area. Must be familiar with Quercus. Demonstrated teaching excellence and advanced technological skills are required. For marking positions, candidates must be able to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.

Duties: (Include but are not limited to one or more of the following): Conducting in-person tutorials and maintaining scheduled office hours, student e-mail contact, grading, invigilating, and clerical duties. Practical invigilation is required. The mode of instruction for the courses is in-person.

This course provides an introduction to research design, conduct, and analysis for making informed business decisions. The course will focus on basic methodologies, qualitative and quantitative methods, data sources, reliability, validity, and other measurement issues, data collection and research design, ethics in research, and report writing and presentation.

TUT0101 Wednesdays 3-4pm

TUT0102 Wednesdays 4-5pm

Anticipated Course Enrolment: 35/section

Approximate Size of Appointment(s): 50 hours/section

Duties: Marking and invigilating tutorial in-person on Wednesday from 3-4pm and/or 4-5pm

The rate of pay for a Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) is $54.27 per hour in accordance with CUPE 3902, Unit 3 Collective Agreement.
Please note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
