This is a remote work position, but candidate may choose to work at ICJIA’s downtown Chicago office during the agency’s regular business hours Monday thru Friday (8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.) pending availability.
This is a full-time position. The selected candidate must work 37.5 hours per week. The selected candidate will start as soon as possible.
This position is TEMPORARY and does NOT include state benefits.

ICJIA’s communications department is responsible for leading messaging for the agency. The Communications Department is developing an employee-focused messaging strategy. The plan will aide in fostering a culture of community and connectivity among staff in our hybrid workplace.
We are seeking a short-term professional to review existing data and other resources to help guide the strategy. They will be responsible for building the framework that tracks employees progress towards current organizational goals, activities, and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
-Master’s Degree in a related field, such as business management, marketing, or communications, and executive-level experience within the public sector, or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience
-A strategic leader with a demonstrable history of working with and leading dynamic yet diverse cross-functional teams
-Proven experience in developing, leading, and executing comprehensive strategic plans
-Proven experience in stakeholder management and cultivating relationships.

Agency Statement
ICJIA responds to community needs with research and federal and state grants administration. ICJIA administers over 100 million dollars in grants, including the R3 (restore, reinvest, renew) grants (funded through the tax on legalized cannabis), state violence prevention grants, and federal grants including under the Violence Against Women Act and the Victims of Crime Act. ICJIA convenes groups and collaborates on efforts to reform the criminal justice system. ICJIA leads criminal justice reform efforts by supporting policy makers through research.
