Job Title: Retail Communications Specialist

Department: Retail Solutions

Reports To: Retail Communications Supervisor

FLSA Status: Regular Exempt

Role Summary:

The Retail Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering clear, consistent, and strategic communications to retail stores nationwide. This includes supporting operational procedures, systems, and business processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with Retail Field Operations Managers to develop and distribute key retail communications.
-Manage and maintain internal communication platforms such as The Joint and Retail SharePoint sites.
-Ensure clarity and accessibility of resource materials using Zendesk Resource Management.
-Support business partners in developing, documenting, and enhancing SOPs to drive operational efficiency and consistency.
-Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to improve operational workflows.
-Conduct field visits as needed to support operations and reinforce process knowledge.
-Provide recommendations to the Retail Communications Supervisor to improve operations and support growth initiatives.
-Assist in the development of SOPs to increase efficiency within designated regions.
-Partner with Retail Field Operations and Field Training teams on product and process initiatives.
-Manage special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

-Associate degree preferred.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
-Experience in retail operations or customer service is a plus.
-Self-starter with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results.
-Deep understanding of all retail and retail support roles.
-Strong skills in process improvement, documentation, attention to detail, time management, and organization.
-Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with individuals at various seniority levels.
-Effective communication skills in conversational English; ability to operate electronic equipment and follow safety procedures.
-Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check.
-Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check.
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
-Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

-Occasionally required to move/traverse throughout entire facility, including tight spaces.
-Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices
-Occasionally required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 50lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs.; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl).
-Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position.
-Frequently required to remain in a seated position.
 

WORK SCHEDULE:

45+ hours weekly with
flexible hours depending on business needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel 10%-20% of work schedule.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
