-The Sr Specialist, Process and Standards role is part of the Tech Ops Process & Strategy team. You will have the opportunity to analyze complex operational challenges, collaborate across multiple teams, and provide data-driven insights supporting initiatives tied to strategic objectives. This person will work with large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop actionable recommendations to address them. 

What you'll do

•    Develops and facilitates cross functional teams in improvement activities that focus on front line leadership within the Tech Ops organization
•    Works collaboratively with operational leadership and represented work groups to develop and implement sustainable solutions
•    Manages multiple projects and provides regular updates on status and performance against plan
•    Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop actionable recommendations to address them
•    Provide insights supporting initiatives tied to strategic objectives 
•    Perform ad-hoc analyses and deliver actionable, data-driven insights to inform business decisions, including designing and executing hands on data collection initiatives in the operation and/or through direct process observation
•    Conducts reliable analyses grounded in diverse data sources and using a strong understanding of Tech Ops business operations
•    Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide analytical support
•    Must be able to travel to other maintenance locations as required (up to 20% of time)

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

•    Willingness to work different shifts as required
•    Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience)
•    3 years of experience leading process improvement projects in maintenance/ production/ heavy industry setting
•    Experience working and communicating effectively with multiple levels of management and represented work groups

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

•    Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience
•    Demonstrated proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and visualization and SQL for querying and managing databases
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly proven experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc)
•    Previous Airline Technical Operations experience

•    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet delivery targets
•    Good leadership skills
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work products
