Short Description
The IT Clinical Ancillary Product Manager plays a crucial role within Cooper University Health Care's Information Technology Applications team, reporting to the Director of Ancillary Applications. This position provides leadership in managing clinical applications, ensuring their seamless implementation, monitoring, and maintenance. The manager oversees key people, processes, and technology related to laboratory, pharmacy, and oncology applications, including Epic applications (Willow, Beaker, and Beacon) and approximately 70 3rd party applications of varying sizes and integration. Designed for a technically adept, dynamic leader, this role requires agility in adapting to evolving business needs while maintaining optimal system performance.
Focused on enhancing inpatient and ambulatory departmental practices through strategic technology integration, this position requires a candidate passionate about using technology to improve patient care and operational efficiency. The IT Product Manager collaborates closely with other operational leaders to ensure IT systems effectively support the laboratory and pharmacy departments, and all oncology locations. Responsibilities include coordinating project-oriented efforts, establishing project management processes, and overseeing roadmaps, plans, and daily work efforts in an Agile framework. Additionally, the manager addresses and ensures effective communication among IT and business operations stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency
The Product Manager oversees the implementation of solutions that advance and support operational excellence, system optimization, and other organizational priorities and initiatives. The Product Manager creates the roadmap for their product area(s) and executes on that roadmap in partnership with their business partner(s) (aka Product Owner). The Product Manager advances the product roadmap, continually grooms the product backlog, and sets work priorities for their product team(s). This role emphasizes an entrepreneurial spirit, independent and creative thinking, and leadership through collaboration, not authority.
Experience Required
3-5 years' experience required.
6-10 years' experience preferred.

Education Requirements
High School/GED required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
Professional Licensure (such as R.N.) in lieu of bachelor's degree preferred.
Industry-specific certification(s) that align with job-related responsibilities in lieu of bachelor's degree preferred.
Special Requirements
Health Information Technology, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or other related field of study. Professional Licensure (such a R.N.) and Industry Certifications in lieu of bachelor's degree; equivalent work experience considered in lieu of bachelor's degree. Would like the experience range to be Five to Seven years (or more) of relevant experience in IT and business/industry or government. Communication - Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers required. Experience with engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions required. 3+ years in diverse roles and increasing responsibilities across business and IT required. Knowledge of product management disciplines and software development life cycle required. Effective in translating technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technical professionals required. Ability to problem solve business and stakeholder customer processes and problems and is effective at solving these problems required. Effective at conveying the vision and other messages requiring action; ability to influence others with their vision and builds enthusiasm about fulfilling it preferred. Has a broad perspective that informs product definition and delivery preferred.
