Position Description
Calibrates, maintains and approves measuring devices.
Job Responsibilities
-Writes user instructions and trains and audits employees on use of gauges.
-Reviews product drawings and draws sketches for new or revised gauges.
-Maintains inventories and records of gauges, and prepares gauge lists.
-Performs temporary measurement setups.
-Processes and follows up on equipment orders and services
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
-Computer skills preferred
-Ability to give attention to detail and maintain process quality
-Ability to read and understand work instructions
-Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
-Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
High School diploma
General Education Degree
Experience Requirements
-Previous Quality experience preferred
-Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
Generally good working conditions.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
