Mechanical Design Engineer required for a market leader in specialist agricultural equipment that is known for exceptional product quality.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role would be suited to mechanical design engineers from sheet metal, stainless steel and / or agricultural product design backgrounds. You will have strong 2D & 3D design package experience ideally on AutoCAD LT and on SolidWorks.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will principally involve producing working detail and assembly drawings. You will undertake both concept and re modification design work using stainless steel materials. You will liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure drawings are met in line with technical specifications provided.
The company offer comprehensive internal training and you will work within a successful team who take a proactive lead in managing the preparation of drawings, parts lists, contract documentation and other documents for a range of products.
The Mechanical Design Engineer Role:
* Mechanical design role using steel materials.
* Producing working detail and assembly drawings.
* Primarily work on SolidWorks and AutoCAD LT.
* Working in a team to ensure all technical specifications are completed to a high standard.
* Attend customer sites for site surveys, troubleshooting etc.
* Preparation of parts lists, contract documentation and other documents for a range of products.
* Working on multiple projects with short lead times simultaneously.
The Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Mechanical design background (any agricultural experience is beneficial).
* Experience in 3D and 2D CAD (Ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD LT).
* Any relevant engineering qualifications are beneficial and not essential.
