The University of Mississippi
"The University of Mississippi — fondly referred to as Ole Miss — stands as a premier public research institution with a proud legacy of academic distinction. We are devoted to nurturing a vibrant, inclusive community where every member — student, faculty, and staff — can achieve their fullest potential.”
Department Summary
The Regional Instrumentation Technician program is a new initiative funded by the State of Mississippi’s Research Alliance. The goal of this program is to support advanced instrumentation across multiple institutions in the state. These specialists will hopefully not only reduce the maintenance and training demands associated with operating state-of-the-art instrumentation for the institutions where these instruments reside, but also facilitate the integration of these resources into the statewide shared instrumentation network. The hope is that this approach will reduce the redundancy of costly equipment and promote enhanced collaboration among researchers across the state. Two technicians are initially envisioned for the program.
