Senior CAD Designer

About the Role
Penguin Recruitment is proud to be representing a market-leading acoustic engineering firm. They are seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join their talented Design team. This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to lead design projects, mentor junior team members, and drive product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct dimensional site surveys in the UK & across Europe.

Produce GA drawings, detailed manufacturing, and installation drawings.
*
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
*
Mentor and support the development of junior design staff.
*
Lead the development of acoustic products using 2D AutoCAD.
*
Ensure all designs are compliant with regulations and optimised for manufacturability.
What We're Looking For
Experience in manufacturing sheet metal or structural steel products.
*
Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (Autodesk Inventor/Revit knowledge advantageous).
*
Understanding of installation practices.
*
Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
*
Willingness to travel within the UK & Europe (full UK driving licence required).
The Benefits
Competitive salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 (depending on experience).
