Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Days Monday to Friday (Mon - Thur: 0730am to 1600pm & Fri: half-day - Lunch-time
GBP38k + Peformance Bonus

A leading manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established Engineering Team.

Role Description
* Completing scheduled maintenance and reactive maintenance on various mechanical machinery
* Working within a team to support the manufacturing process
* Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering and production-based issues
* Troubleshooting issues and suggesting solutions to prevent reoccurrences
* Communicating with Production Managers and Team Leaders on progress of issues
* Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing necessary repairs and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.
Skills and Qualifications
* Time served Mechanical Engineer with solid industry experience in manufacturing
* Minimum City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering (or similar)
* Good fitting skills
* Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
* Experience of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance, continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
* Ability to weld and fabricate (desirable)
* Well organised, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines.
* Good diligence
* Proactive approach to problem solving.
* Good timekeeping and attendance
