The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Grant Program Administrator to support the Virginia Talent & Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP) program, an innovative initiative to dramatically expand paid internship opportunities for higher education students across the Commonwealth. The Grant Program Administrator will be part of a mission-driven team working to strengthen Virginia's economy and workforce.

This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and approving grant program applications, reviewing and processing requests for reimbursements from Virginia businesses, and collaborating with team members to advise on grant program guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, this position helps the V-TOP team maintain and leverage data in Salesforce and other technology platforms, supports program events, and oversees the webinars required for the matching grant program.

This position is part of VEDP's Talent and Workforce Strategy team, which is collaborating with other divisions at VEDP and external stakeholders to position Virginia as the Top State for Talent. Responsibilities:
Review and approve grant program applications from businesses to confirm they meet program requirements Review and approve requests for reimbursement from businesses while following program guidelines Maintain accurate records, track budgets, and apply guidelines and procedures when working on projects Coordinate with financial staff to track budget and expenditures and conduct periodic financial reporting Monitor program awards to ensure compliance with state budget language, timeline, and deliverables Update and maintain grant program documents including application forms, reimbursement forms, program manuals, and guidelines Track outcomes of grants to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) or create impact assessments Work with the Salesforce team to create efficient workflows, dashboards, and add updates or enhancements as needed Leverage data in Salesforce to create presentations, reports, and to update data as requested Support statewide technology platform connecting Virginia students interested in internships with Virginia companies Support program planning, including events and webinars, with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical assistance to companies as needed Oversee required employer training which will be delivered in multiple modalities Maintain up-to-date files, contracts, and correspondence for audit readiness Learn about internship best practices to provide support to team members
Skills:
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage data, generate reports, and support program evaluation Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to be responsive, helpful, courteous, and professional when working with colleagues and customers Ability to provide clear guidance and technical assistance to businesses and stakeholders regarding program participation Skilled in organizing events, webinars, and training sessions, including managing logistics and stakeholder engagement Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and comfortable using digital tools and platforms to support program delivery, reporting, and communication Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to mission-driven initiatives Experience managing multiple projects with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and ability to complete urgent tasks while balancing longer-term projects
Experience:
3+ years of experience with grant or program administration, project management, or similar
This position is based in VEDP's Richmond Office three days each week with the option to telework two days each week according to VEDP's hybrid work policy. This position requires occasional in-state travel. A valid Virginia driver's license is required.
