What is the Role:

-We are seeking a driven and ambitious Senior Solution Architect to join our Core Banking Tribe Solution Architecture CoE. Reporting to the Head of the CoE, the successful candidate will work on multi million Euro projects that will transform Banking in AIB, enabling AIB's best in class digital ambition.
-You will be responsible for cascading and converting high-level technology roadmaps and standards for our Core Banking Tribe to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions, aligning to relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and industry best practices.

Key accountabilities;

-Take a lead role in the detailed design of the transforming Accounts domain from a technology, process, integration and data design perspective
-Influence & engage with key stakeholders in the procurement and implementation of new technologies and integration into AIB’s Core Banking ecosystem
-Define and create solutions aligning to our target architecture and long-term road maps for a diverse range of applications within the Tribe.
-Cascade and convert high-level business requirements into technical solution designs.
-Ensure that the solutions we design are customer centric and the design aligns with AIBs Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture principles and industry best practices.
-Provide technical guidance as appropriate, on solutions that impact on Core Banking Platforms ensuring that consistent design patterns are applied to all changes.
-Ensure all designs pass the appropriate checkpoints and approval stage gates through deployment and operate.
 

 

What you Will Bring ;

style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm"-
-A minimum of 10+ years’ working in a technology domain.
-Knowledge of and change experience around the following a distinct advantage: Core Banking concepts and capabilities; Temenos Transact; Restful API's & Eventing; Microservices and associated patterns; Application Servers & Database Technologies; Security concepts and standards.
-Proven experience in solution design and technical architecture; evidence of an outcome-based approach to both.
-Very strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; backed-up with strong interpersonal, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
-Experience in application design and system and technology integration; with a proven record of designing solutions to business problems, while demonstrating creativity, innovation and knowledge of best-practice design techniques. 
-Ability to write technical documents to a high specification using industry tools and standards.
-Experience in shaping and defining a technology roadmap and strategy.
-Proven ability to provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams.
