Business Development Manager Microscopy - BeLux region
A leading company in the field of optical instrumentation is seeking a passionate and driven Business Developer for High-End Microscopy Systems to join their Belgian commercial team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with scientific expertise and a strong commercial mindset to represent cutting-edge imaging solutions for research and healthcare environments.
Your Mission:
As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and promoting advanced microscopy platforms including confocal, super-resolution, spinning disk, and AI-driven systems. You will be the link between scientific innovation and customer needs, helping researchers and institutions access top-tier imaging technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and new prospects in Belgium and Luxembourg

Conduct regular customer visits, prospecting, and product presentations/demonstrations
*
Manage the full sales cycle including negotiation, proposal, and tender preparation
*
Define commercial action plans and track KPIs (sales, margin, opportunities)
*
Provide hands-on product training and application support for advanced imaging systems
*
Collaborate closely with the internal wide-field sales team and technical service engineers
Profile:
Master's degree or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
*
Solid knowledge of high-end imaging systems (confocal, TIRF, N-STORM, N-SIM, multiphoton, etc.)
*
Experience or strong interest in sales, client relations, and solution-based selling
*
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team
*
Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is required
*
Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) in the Belux region
