Performs complex activities for the development, implementation and Continuous Improvement of the manufacturing process, by utilizing sound engineering methods in accordance with product specifications and Civacon quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Essential Functions:

-Determines and specifies, revises and/or reviews the most efficient and cost effective methods, operation sequence and tooling for the fabrication of parts, finishing and assembly components, subassemblies for final products.
-Application of Lean Principles and concepts to develop process. Must be able to improve manufacturing processes to meet goals of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
-Provides technical guidance and liaison to product operations, assists the supervisor on new techniques and may assist in the determination of causes of rejected parts and their disposition.
-Provides guidance to lower level manufacturing engineers, tool designers and technicians in various projects and responsibilities.
-Provides finalized details for manufacturing processing costs for new product quotes. Interfaces with Product Engineering for design and development of new products. Assure new products go through the design for manufacturing process prior to release and prior to finalization of tooling to reduce cost and delivery.
-Ability to foresee common manufacturing difficulties and plan options. Demonstrate leadership in the assigned group of processes. Develop standard work and lead Continuous Improvement projects to achieve predetermined goals.
-Manage justification, schedule and budget for Capital Expenditure Projects. Provide input for manufacturing assembly costs and equipment recommendations.
-Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment of project plans.
-Work closely with the cost department in assuring all costs, processes and routings are input into Oracle in the most expedient manner possible for all newly released products.
-Assure all engineering notices are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
-Provide Leadership, process data, drawings and schedules for Tool Design,CNC Programming and the Maintenance department.

-Attends meetings as needed to support organization activity. Interfaces with customers as required. Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.
Supervision:
Supervision is received by the Manufacturing and Facilities Manager and may receive guidance and mentoring from other members of the Leadership Team.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is expected to Lead Continuous Improvement activities and Kaizen events. It may also be necessary to lead product programs or represent manufacturing engineering team on program team. Mentor and advise less experienced engineers.
Essential Skills and Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent experience of at least 6 years
