Job Summary
St Clare of Assisi Catholic Church a Catholic school rooted in faith and academic excellence, seeks a mission-driven and organized Librarian to manage the school library and promote literacy, research skills, and a love for reading.
Job Responsibilities
-Manage and maintain the school library, including circulation, cataloging, and organization of materials
-Foster a love of reading through book displays, reading programs, and classroom collaboration
-Teach age-appropriate library skills, research techniques, digital literacy, and ethical information use
-Support students in selecting appropriate reading and research materials
-Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into curriculum and faith-based instruction
-Promote Catholic values through literature selections and student interactions
-Oversee library technology and provide support for student and faculty use
-Maintain inventory, order new materials, and manage library budget
-Uphold school and diocesan policies, including child safety protocols
Job Requirements
-School library or classroom teaching experience preferred
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Familiarity with library systems (e.g., Follett Destiny) and digital research tools
