Position Overview

You will lead and oversee all operations of our Ready Mix sites, ensuring safety is at the heart of every operation. Working closely with the Ready Mix Operations Manager for NWA you’ll champion our operational goals and long-term growth strategies. This key role demands a visionary leader eager to promote excellence, inspire teams, and deliver outstanding results for our customers and our company.

Key Responsibilities

· Champion Safety & Culture: Cultivate a safety-first environment, partnering with field and safety personnel to minimize risk and enhance workplace conditions for every team member.

· Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, focusing on safe production, consistent quality, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining the highest standards for safety and environmental compliance.

· Continuous Improvement: Drive performance metrics and operational enhancements, surpassing company goals and industry benchmarks.

· Engaged Leadership: Connect regularly with employees, improving job site safety and morale through proactive communication and hands-on involvement.

· Quality Assurance: Conduct routine jobsite inspections, collaborating with the Safety Manager to identify and resolve deficiencies.

· Investigative Approach: Collaborate with safety teams to conduct investigations, instilling best practices and accountability.

· Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual operating budgets, optimizing resource allocation for efficiency and profitability.

· Training & Development: Organize formal training initiatives to elevate safety, operations, and customer service standards; ensure robust onboarding and mentoring for all new hires.

· Team Building: Foster high-performing teams and nurture talent for future growth opportunities.

· Compliance & Regulatory Partnership: Guarantee crews are equipped, trained, and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.

· Site Management: Direct site managers to meet production targets, ensuring operations are safe, timely, and within budget.

· Sales & Marketing Leadership: Drive sales and marketing strategies to maximize product reach, exceed customer expectations, and enhance profitability.

· Government Relations: Represent the company during inspections and audits, partnering with agencies such as OSHA, MSHA, and DOT.

· Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define long-range goals and strategies for sustained success.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required).

· Relevant certifications or formal education in EHS are a plus.

· Minimum of 5 years of related construction experience strongly desired.

· Plant management experience (3+ years highly preferred).

· Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience (3+ years highly preferred).

· Strong understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.

· Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

· Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in dynamic environments.

Work Requirements

· Compliance with pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.

· Strict adherence to all safety protocols and company procedures.

· Willingness to travel and work away from home as needed.

· Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required.

· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in designated areas as per OSHA/MSHA standards.

Physical & Work Environment

· Ability to walk or stand for extended periods; occasional sitting.

· Capable of climbing stairs/ladders for equipment inspections.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

· Prepared to work in all weather conditions.

· Ability to wear a respirator in environments with fumes, dust, or limited ventilation.

· Work will be split between office and field environments.
