What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager of Weight and Inspections at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

-4 years of weights and inspection experience
-Supervisory experience
-Available to travel up to 50% of the time
-Available to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, varying shifts and weekends
-Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record  
 

Preferred qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree

-Sales experience
-Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience, including knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT rules and regulations
-Knowledge of behavior-based safety techniques

What you’ll do on a typical day:

style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-Provide day-to-day management of regional staff including creating work schedules
-Determine and coordinate training needs for both new hires and existing team members
-Review quarterly audit performance to identify discrepancies and errors in the inspection and correction processes
-Prepare and deliver corrective action reports to the team and senior management
-Instruct W&I, Operations and Sales staff on the proper use of National Motor Freight Classifications (NMFC) and rules, in addition to the XPO 199 rules tariff
-Ensure supervisors are providing mentorship and training to staff on key initiatives and programs to decrease exceptions and improve audit compliance
