Role – Mechanical Technician
Type – Permanent
Location – Southwest London
Salary – £33,000 - £37,500, dependent on experience
My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Southwest London on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experienced working in a factory or workshop environment
- Strong experience with Manual Milling, Turning, Welding and Fabrication
- Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing skills
- Able to read and work to Engineering Drawings
- Knowledge of MIG / TIG Welding
- Experienced using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team player
The Mechanical Technician role will involve:
- Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment
- Working with Milling and Turning Machinery
- Working to project specifications and deadlines
- Participating in technical training
- Working to procedures and instructions
- Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
