Regulatory Affairs & Risk Assessment Manager - Agrochemical Sector (Maternity Cover)

About the Role
We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs & Risk Assessment Manager specialized in the agrochemical sector to support our Regulatory Affairs team during a maternity leave. The role focuses on regulatory submissions, risk assessments, and project management for agrochemical registrations in the EU.
This is a hands-on position requiring both technical expertise and project coordination skills, working closely with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), internal stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1 Perform Data Gap Analysis and Preliminary Risk Assessment
2 Draft Registration Report (dRR) - Parts A and B
* Coordinate and deliver regulatory projects for pesticide registration on time, within budget, and within defined scope.
* Request and coordinate quotations from CROs for activities such as analytical methods, toxicology of non-target organisms, metabolism and residues, environmental fate, and ecotoxicology-ensuring critical aspects are addressed when contracting studies or services.
* Contract and monitor CRO studies and dossier writing to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
* Draft Registration Report (dRR) - Part C and Draft Labels
* Prepare documentation mainly for EU submissions.
* Adapt dRR sections between different evaluation zones across EU and UK.
* Coordinate and reply to authority requests during product evaluations.
* Project and Risk Assessment Management
* Manage project feasibility, timelines, and scope adjustments as needed.
* Oversee budgets: forecasting, actuals, and invoice tracking.
* Report progress, escalate relevant issues, and highlight regulatory risks when necessary.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including CROs and colleagues across departments (Country Regulatory Managers, Marketing, R&D, Compliance, etc.).
Desired Profile
* Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the agrochemical sector (plant protection products / pesticides).
* Strong knowledge of EU submission processes.
* Skilled in coordinating CROs and managing regulatory studies.
* Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving and solution-oriented approach.
* High integrity, transparency, and ability to maintain a professional balance when working on behalf of clients.
* Comfortable working remotely and independently.
