JOB DUTIES:
. Set-ups and operates manual mills and lathes on a limited variety of materials with litmited assistance
. Uses milling, drilling, grinding, and other machines
. Lays out work and produces quality parts
. Decipher sketches, blueprints, and engineering details with assistance
. Carries a job through from raw materials to the finished products from drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instruction
. Sharpens, reworks, resets and repairs cutting tools
. Inspects and checks parts being produced
. Maintains accurate production records and job history
. Keeps a clean and orderly work area
. Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution required
. 3+ years of experience in manual machining
. Has a mid level knowledge of machine uses and manufacturing materials

. Be able to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls

. Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time
. Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
. Be able to lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
