Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are proud to be supporting a leading logistics operation in Stowmarket . We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with strong leadership skills and hands-on Forklift Truck (FLT) experience to oversee the smooth running of a busy warehouse.
The Role
As Warehouse Manager , you'll lead from the front-coordinating daily warehouse activities while rolling up your sleeves to support your team when needed. This role requires a balance of operational oversight, staff management, and practical warehouse skills, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
* Manage goods in/out, stock control, and order fulfilment.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
* Operate FLTs when required to support workload and cover the team.
* Monitor and maintain health & safety and security standards across the site.
* Ensure all documentation and stock systems are accurate and up to date.
* Liaise with logistics, transport, and external partners to ensure on-time delivery.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and staff development.
About You
We're looking for a Warehouse Manager with:
* Previous management/supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and hands-on operating experience.
* Strong understanding of warehouse systems, stock control, and processes.
* Knowledge of health & safety, security, and compliance regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
