Daily Rate: GBP90-GBP110 per day
About the Role
A welcoming primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from 6th October. The role involves supporting children in the classroom with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to access learning and develop confidence in both academic and social skills.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small group support, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored strategies that meet each pupil's needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support KS1 and KS2 pupils with SEMH needs in class and through interventions.

Create a positive, calm, and structured learning environment.

Implement behaviour support strategies to encourage progress.
*
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals where required.
*
Promote resilience, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with additional needs.
*
Ability to adapt to different situations and remain calm under pressure.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
