Our client is a leading Industrial Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company based in Harlow. With over a century of expertise, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional engineering solutions to our clients. We are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team.
This role is a mix of office-based work and site visits. You will lead a small team of Mechanical Engineers across multiple client sites, overseeing the repair and servicing of:
x2981; 3-phase motors
x2981; Fan units
x2981; Water pumps and pump systems
x2981; A wide range of industrial mechanical equipment
Key Responsibilities
x2981; Manage and develop a team of Site Engineers
x2981; Conduct site visits to assess client requirements and resolve issues
x2981; Produce accurate and timely quotations
x2981; Maintain excellent client communication and provide progress updates
x2981; Recruit and onboard new team members as required
x2981; Lead the technical development of staff, including annual appraisals
x2981; Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
x2981; Strong technical understanding of industrial pumps, motors, and mechanical systems
x2981; Electrically trained with relevant qualifications
x2981; Proven experience leading engineering teams
x2981; Minimum 10 years' mechanical engineering experience
x2981; Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
x2981; Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
x2981; Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel)
x2981; In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety practices
x2981; Driving licence
Desirable:
x2981; Experience as an Engineering Manager or Operations Maintenance lead
x2981; Fully qualified in both electrical and mechanical engineering
x2981; Broad knowledge of best practices in mechanical/electrical maintenance
x2981; Willingness to take a hands-on approach when required
