Reporting to the Business Banking Officer, the Deposit Relationship Banker is responsible for driving deposit growth by identifying, attracting, and onboarding new customers. This role builds long-term relationships through proactive outreach, community engagement, and exceptional service. The officer will promote Peoples Bank's full suite of deposit solutions customized to each client's needs. Success in this role requires a blend of consultative sales skills, market awareness and relationship management expertise with an unwavering commitment to compliance, customer satisfaction, and the Bank's core Vision, Mission and Values.
Business Development and Client Relationships: 70%
Build and grow the Bank's deposit portfolio by identifying prospective clients, uncovering their needs, and presenting tailored deposit solutions. Actively engage in networking, referrals, and community outreach, maintaining a visible presence in the local market. Represent the Bank at community events, business expos and networking functions to strengthen brand awareness and generate quality leads. Nurture relationships with new and existing clients through ongoing follow-up to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional opportunities. Collaborate with market presidents, bankers and frontline staff to deepen customer relationships and connect them with the right Bank resources Develop and use tools to track outreach activities, manage the sales pipeline and measure progress toward deposit growth goals.
Product Expertise and Advisory: 15%
Educate clients on the benefits and features of the Bank's deposit products, tailoring recommendations to personal or business financial goals. Maintain deep knowledge of all deposit offerings, rates, promotions, and Cash Management services. Provide expert guidance on account structures - personal, business, money market, CDs - and match solutions to customer priorities like liquidity, growth, and safety. Monitor local market trends and competitor offerings to refine outreach strategies and recommendations. Partner with the Cash Management Team to deliver comprehensive deposit solutions.
Operational, Compliance, and Location Support: 10%
Guide clients through the account opening process, ensuring a seamless experience and full compliance with KYC, CIP, and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with frontline staff to support onboarding, documentation, and smooth hand-offs.
Other: 5%
As part of the overall Peoples Bank team, provide assistance with other initiatives or activities as requested.

EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five years of success in relationship-based sales, business development, or client acquisition. Proven ability to meet growth targets, develop long-term relationships, and proactively acquire new clients. Associates or bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted in place of formal education. This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes communications skills, computer skills such as, but not limited to, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, as well as utilization of typical office equipment. Valid driver's license is required; frequent travel within the metro market is required. Occasionally lift and carry up to 15-25 pounds (e.g., coin bags, office supplies).
