Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Attendant - Poker Room is to
oversee game seating, phone calls, rewards redemptions, provide gaming cheques to guests and Dealers for operational needs, through use of a mobile bank, and to act as a liaison between guests and support departments, specifically the Casino Cage.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Maintain a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere providing the guest with a pleasant experience.
-Maintain a mobile bank for player and table bank transactions in accordance with department policies and procedures.
-In the absence of a mobile bank, accommodate transactions for players and table banks by acting as a liaison between them and the Casino Cage.
-Conduct player and table bank transactions in accordance with department policies and procedures and notifies Poker Supervisors of any irregularities.
-Maintain an understanding of game play, rules, internal controls, and gaming standards.
-Handle and prioritize multiple guest requests and notify management of pertinent information.
-Greet guests when they arrive and handle guest lists and seating for all Poker games.
-Handle and respond to incoming phone calls.
-Issue new and reprint Grazie account cards.
-Issue guest rewards from logged Grazie poker play.
-Make appropriate guest announcements.
-Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:
-21 years of age.
-Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-1-year casino experience preferred.
-Basic computer skills.
-Accuracy in cash and cheque handling and counting to ensure even money exchanges without variation.
-Ability to operate 10-key calculator, Jet Scan cash counter, and any other associated equipment for accurate mobile bank accountability and even money exchanges with the Casino Cage.
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
-Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
-Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
-Push and maneuver departmental and property equipment, including, but not limited to, an assigned cart that contains gaming cheques.
-Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
-Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
-Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
-Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
-Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
-Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
