The size is vast; from local delivery offices in every postal area of the UK, offices, vehicle garages, rail hubs, and our new state-of-the-art fully automated parcel superhubs. Royal Mails Property and Facilities Solutions Limited (PFSL) is responsible for upgrading and maintaining the safety all of our buildings
To support the PFSL procurement strategy, we have a vacancy for a Senior Procurement & Commercial Strategy Manager to design and implement procurement strategies across our key FM categories and service areas.
This high-impact role is responsible for driving value delivery, mitigating risk, and ensuring operational excellence through effective category management, supplier engagement, and robust commercial governance.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide strategic commercial leadership across PFSL and designated categories.
-Act as the senior procurement contact for stakeholders and suppliers.
-Support the Commercial & Contract Director in managing commercial agreements, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support cost control and revenue optimisation.
-Champion high performance across category and contract management teams.
-Ensure compliance and value for money in all sourcing activities.
-Benchmark service delivery costs and drive continuous improvement.
-Provide expert negotiation support and resolve commercial issues.
-Chair procurement governance forums and manage supplier relationships.
-Support business transformation initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
Location: UK based, national – (with travel and home working expected)
Skills and experience required
You need to demonstrate the following skills and experiences on your application:
-Minimum 3 years in procurement or commercial leadership roles
-Demonstrable success in managing strategic supplier relationships and delivering value
-Experience in FM or service support environments within large, multi function organisations
-Track record of leading teams and managing complex projects
-Degree or HND level qualification (beneficial)
-MCIPS qualified, or working towards
-Knowledge of relevant operational legislation (CDM)
