-The Safety Operations Partner will have a presence in the DFW Tech Ops operation (base/line hangars, GSE, DFW Terminal) and will serve as a liaison with the larger Safety organization for safety needs.
-Partner with and support operating departments who have responsibility over the quality of employee health and ground safety compliance within assigned location
-The Sr. Specialist, Safety Operations Partner interacts with frontline and leadership operational personnel, union safety representatives, senior managers, executive leadership, and department heads within their assigned location.

-Serve as a trusted Safety business partner by maintaining a strong presence in the operation.
-Conduct thorough investigations into Tech Ops–related incidents, identifying root causes and contributing factors, and producing clear, actionable reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
-Prepare clear, detailed reports and debrief higher leadership on findings, trends, and recommended corrective actions.
-Ensures investigation reports are meaningful, technically sound, action orientated and are completed in a timely manner.
-Act as a trusted partner who is skilled in interviewing to encourage team members to be forthcoming about what happened and why and to partner in solutions and improvements.
-Collaborate with Operational Leader using investigation results to highlight areas of safety concern within the work environment.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including union representatives and operating departments, to drive accountability, implement safety improvements, and ensure compliance with corporate and governmental safety standards.
-Provide leadership, training, guidance, and resources to support ground and employee safety initiatives and achieve departmental and corporate safety goals.
-Advise executive management on significant safety issues and trends, offering strategic recommendations for prevention and continuous improvement.
-Partners with other departments as well as union representatives to address safety concerns and establish processes that result in the continuous improvement of safety.
-Develop and deliver impactful presentations to leadership, highlighting safety concerns and progress.
-Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall safety objectives.
-Travel required – occasionally (up to 25%)

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, aviation, or equivalent work experience/training
-3 years’ experience in Technical Operations 
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

-Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations and company policies and procedures
-Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
-Experience interfacing with FAA, government agencies, labor and inter-department communications 
-Aircraft accident and employee injury investigation training and experience
-Training applicable to requirements of position
-at least 2 years safety program management
Skills, Licenses & Certifications

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees 
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills along with an ability to work well with others in a collaborative setting
-Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization as well as outside agencies and organization
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
-Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage crisis situations
-Must possess decision-making abilities, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include the use of common database, presentation and word processing software
-Must fulfill a criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable 
-Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally on demand
-Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
