Your new role

Main Responsibilities:

-Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies to ensure optimal access for Novo Nordisk products in both public and private payer markets.
-Lead pricing and reimbursement strategies, including negotiations and securing favourable agreements in compliance with HTA requirements.
-Drive public affairs initiatives to influence healthcare policy and legislative outcomes that align with business objectives.
-Ensure cross-functional strategic alignment to capitalize on emerging growth opportunities.
-Build and maintain long-term relationships with key external stakeholders, including patient organisations, policymakers, payers, and regulators.
-Own and drive external communication strategies, shaping the narrative around Novo Nordisk’s impact on healthcare and public health.
-Provide leadership, fostering innovation and collaboration within the team while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company values.

Our Norwegian affiliate consists of approximately 85 employees across sales, marketing, clinical, medical, and other functions. In the position of MAPA Director, you will be a part of the affiliate management team, and you will lead the highly engaged MAPA team which consists of 3 employees: the Sustainability Manager, the Public Affairs Manager and the Market Access Manager.
Your skills & qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled leader to join Novo Nordisk, combining deep expertise in market access, public affairs, and government relations with strong leadership and strategic thinking. The role requires someone confident engaging with both local and international stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes in Norway’s healthcare landscape.
Key Requirements to Succeed:

-Education: Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
-Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams.
-Market Access Expertise: Track record in pricing, reimbursement, and payer engagement strategies.
-Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to navigate complex relationships with authorities, policymakers, and private sector partners.
-Language Skills: Fluency in Norwegian and English for effective communication at all levels.
