Project Overview:
Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel’s scope of service in Sentinel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.
A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will support Mechanical Engineers in developing engineering design drawings.
Major Responsibilities:
-Prepare 2-D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on sketches and marked up prints.
-Review drawings and documents prepared by others to ensure incorporation of drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and other national standards, as required.
-Responsible for data integrity of components list.
-Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Level 1
-Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Level 2
-Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
-Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
-Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
-Prior experience with industry-wide design/drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, PDS2D, PDS3D, Smartplant P&ID Component Databases.
-Experience working in a project team environment to resolve issues and improve processes.
-Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
