Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational readiness and handover oversight to ensure that all the required activities and deliverables are complete, documentation compiled and turned over as well as providing coordination with the Assets and Operations teams and other stakeholders. A specific technical focus of the role is on facility familiarisation training and in the development of the trials program so that the contractor completion program is aligned with the trials program and opening scenarios.
Major Responsibilities:
-Responsible for providing operational readiness and handover oversight to various teams to ensure that all required activities and deliverables are complete, documentation compiled and turned over as well as providing coordination with the Assets and Operations teams and other stakeholders.
-A specific technical focus of the role is on facility familiarisation training and in the development of the trials program so that the contractor completion program is aligned with the trials program and opening scenarios.
-Participate in and support planning, ramp up and execution of the various elements of Operational Readiness Programs
-Supports the development of ORAT and handover strategies, plus guidance documents and templates as required.
-Actively ensure contractors are complying with safety requirements and encourage contractors to perform their work in a safe manner through proper planning and adherence to site requirements.
-Ensure that ORAT documentation flows in a progressive and manageable way from the contractors to the end-user for review and acceptance, including delivery system acceptance test report production, system Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and O&M training documentation.
-Review relevant Contractor submittals and provide input or approval as applicable, to include ORAT plans, procedures, schedules, costs, reports, changes, and trends as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
-Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.
-Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
-Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for operations
-Possess technical skills in project management, operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing
-Proficient knowledge of project Commissioning & Completion processes and procedures.
-Understanding of standards and requirements of an ORAT program.
-Previous experience with ORAT or Operational Trials on a large scale infrastructure project
