A leading food manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled mechanically bias Maintenance Engineers to join their growing engineering team. The business is currently expanding, with new production lines being installed, and is looking for dedicated engineers to support ongoing maintenance as well as assist with commissioning and building the new line.
Salary: A£35,000 - A£42,000 + Shift Allowance, Bonus & Benefits
Shifts Available:
* 4 on 4 off (days & nights)
* Monday to Friday (days only) - with the view to transition to 4 on 4 off (days & nights) from September 2026
What You Will Do:
* Collaborate on the planning, construction, and commissioning of machinery for a new production line during the pre-production phase.
* Conduct testing and fault-finding on mechanical parts of the production line to ensure optimal functionality.
* Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting to support efficient production operations.
* Analyse production data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, minimise waste, and maintain product quality.
* Assist in training staff on new equipment and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and high standards of operation.
* Maintain clear communication with opposite shifts regarding maintenance updates and use the in-house system to record work performed and track spare parts.
What You Will Bring:
* Proven experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within manufacturing industry.
* Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and engineering tools.
* Attention to detail and the ability to identify root causes of issues to drive effective solutions.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to different audiences.
* A collaborative mindset and adaptability to manufacturing IT systems.
