Obsolescence Engineer - Defence Engineering | UK Worcester Based | Permanent
A leading independent defence technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Obsolescence Engineer to join its dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on assessing legacy products, maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), and supporting critical defence and engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and assess historical BOMs for viability.
* Identify and report obsolescence issues.
* Liaise with OEMs and supply chain to source alternatives.
* Maintain BOMs within the ERP system.
* Support validation and testing of new/replacement components.
Requirements
* 5+ years in an engineering discipline.
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with ISO 9001 environments and technical documentation.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK and pass security checks.
