NDT TECHNICIAN REQUIRED IN BROWNHILLS!!!
Are you an experienced NDT Technician seeking a new job, and do you have experience within the heavy engineering, power, nuclear, oil & gas or petrochemical industries?!
We are seeking an NDT Technician to join an Engineering business based in Brownhills, this role will be working a day shift pattern Monday to Friday (39 hours per week), and the annual salary will be up to A£35,000 per annum (DOE), there is regular overtime also available which is paid at T1/3 in the week, T1/2 Saturday and double time Sunday.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has got at least 2 year's experience within a similar role, and you will also need to pass security clearance due to industries this business manufacture for.
The hiring manager is also looking for someone that holds their PCN Level 2 as a minimum requirement.
What You Will Do:
* Perform NDT inspections using methods such as DPI, MPI, Visual, and Radiography, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and procedures.
* Maintain accurate inspection reports and ensure they are filed and up to date.
* Report findings on NDT Control Cards and liaise with production managers and supervisors to address any issues.
* Collaborate with third-party inspectors and provide instructions to staff on findings and potential rectifications.
* Take responsibility for health and safety, COSHH compliance, and IRR 17 regulations, including maintaining dose records and liaising with the Radiation Protection Adviser.
* Assist in the control of calibration and write local rules aligned with changes or recommendations.
What You Will Bring:
* PCN Level 2 / ANST or equivalent qualifications in DPI, MPI, Visual, and/or Radiography.
* Experience in inspecting welded components, ideally within heavy engineering or related industries.
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* A proactive approach to maintaining accurate and organised inspection reports.
* A commitment to upholding health and safety standards and working collaboratively with others.
