ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER NEEDED IN NEWPORT, SHROPSHIRE!
Are you an Engineering Team Leader / Section Leader who is actively seeking a new opportunity, are you happy working 12 hour shifts (rotating days and nights) and do you have your own transport?
We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to join a food production business in Newport, Shropshire, the annual salary for this role is just over A£50,000 per annum and you will be working a 4 on 4 off shift system.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who holds a Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC / HNC Or equivalent in either Mechanical or electrical disciplines, or someone who is Degree trained.
Should you have none of the above, then you must have a C&G Level 3 and at least 5 year's experience within the Food Manufacturing, Food & Beverage industry.
What You Will Do:
* Lead and motivate an engineering team to achieve operational excellence and improve performance.
* Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently.
* Use a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log and track maintenance activities accurately.
* Oversee smooth and detailed handover between shifts to ensure continuity and preparedness.
* Collaborate with other departments to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
What You Will Bring:
* Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, or equivalent qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
* Proven experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within a similar industry.
* Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills to lead and develop your team.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
