Description:
Fath Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will have responsibilities for all properties located in the North Central Dallas area. Primary duties will involve performing maintenance work of all kinds, as well as providing direction to Maintenance staff at each property, and assisting with evaluating repairs or projects relating to the physical assets. This is a working director position. All qualified applicants MUST have apartment industry experience and HVAC certification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel between all Dallas area properties. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of basic maintenance problems including plumbing, carpentry, electrical and HVAC. May correct maintenance problems or direct maintenance staff to fix problem. Responsible for monitoring general turnover of vacant apartments to Company standards for occupancy. May also be required to enter occupied apartments for troubleshooting and repairs Establish a relationship with subcontractors working on the properties. Ensure work performed by subcontractors is completed in a timely manner and to specifications. Monitor and/or direct purchasing and ordering requests up to pre-established limits. Track inventory, which includes but is not limited to paint, appliance parts and locks, as needed for properties. Maintain proper care and control over Company owned tools and equipment. Diagnoses, directs and/or schedules repair of central boiler system, cooling towers and forced air systems. Recover, reclaim and recycle all refrigerant as per current EPA guidelines. Assists with on going training of all Maintenance staff and provides support to current employees with repair problems beyond their skill level. Participates in safety meetings and promotes personal safety among all maintenance staff. Adhere to safe work practices and follow safety recommendations at all times. Report job-related accidents and hazards to property manager immediately. Special projects as assigned. Performs on-call duty when assigned. Follows Company procedures for on-call emergencies. Maintains a neat, professional appearance and projects a professional demeanor.

REQUIREMENTS include:
Previous experience working at multiple sites Previous experience supervising staff as well as sub-contractors High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School Universal EPA Certification - required Plumbing and electrical experience - 5 years Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required. Physical requirements: Able to lift 75 lbs. Able to climb ladders and steps. Applicants must be able to operate power equipment such as saws, drills. Must be able to operate door locks.
