Position Summary
Prepare the press for order set up by the operator and convert plain material into printed material.
Pay rate: $19.25
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
-Pre-stage all inks, materials at the press prior to the changeover.
-Change inks per production order.
-Change blades and seals; correct build-up and break down of doctor blade chambers.
-Load and un-load material on and off the press using material handling devices.
-Band all out-going materials and transport to the warehouse using material moving vehicle (prime mover or pallet jack).
-Monitor print quality and additional attributes in conjunction with the Operator or during Operator breaks.
Tool, Equipment and Material Requirements:
-Use of site approved tools only, loupe, dyne pen, hoist.
-Operation of motorized material handling devices.
-Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Safety Requirement
-Wear all required PPE & PFS: beard/hair net, hearing protection, safety glasses, bump cap, and safety shoes.
-Perform all duties using safe work methods.
-Complies with all established site and department safety rules and policies.
-Report unsafe conditions, all accidents and near misses immediately to supervisor or his/her designate.
Other Requirements
-Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.
-Ability to pass a hue and color vision assessment.
-Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.
