Graduate Town Planner - Bury St Edmunds
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established planning consultancy in their search for a Graduate Town Planner to join the team in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to begin their planning career in a supportive environment with exposure to a diverse range of projects.
The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will:
Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.

Support colleagues with site appraisals, planning research, and policy analysis.
*
Draft planning reports and supporting documents.
*
Contribute to stakeholder and local authority engagement.
*
Gain hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
About You
The successful candidate will:
Hold (or be completing) a degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred).
*
Demonstrate strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
*
Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
*
Be enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
*
Be working towards (or interested in) RTPI chartership.
