The main purpose of our site security staff is to ensure the smooth operation of the gatehouse facility, acting as the first and last point of contact for all staff and contractors.

The security operative will also be responsible for ensuring that all data is sorted correctly and recorded to a high standard. Security operatives act as a key component of the transport function, liaising with them regularly to ensure the delivery of a first-class service to our customer. Security site support will also be responsible for patrolling the external yards and inspecting boundary lines.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

-               Recording vehicles, contractors, and visitors at the inbound gatehouse.
-               Conducting external yard patrols and site checks.
-               Booking out vehicles, contractors, and visitors at the outbound gatehouse.
-               Maintaining accurate records and entering data into spreadsheets.
-               Writing clear and detailed reports, statements, and witness accounts.
-               Assisting in urgent or emergency situations on site.
-               Adapting to changing operational needs and requirements.
 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

•             Basic computer/keyboard skills – essential for data entry and record keeping.

•             Ability to write professional and detailed reports.

•             Previous security experience or training is advantageous but not essential – full    training may be provided at a national level.

•             First Aid certificate desirable but not essential and training can be offered.

•             Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.

•             A CRB/DBS check required
